Dr. Sumeet Bhanot was born into a military family in Chandigarh, India, while his father was on the battlefield. Dr. Bhanot grew up in India until the age of eight when he immigrated to the United States after his father fell ill and needed advanced medical care. This exposure to the medical field is what inspired him to become a physician; the life-altering experience fostered the mettle that has shaped him into the surgeon he is today. To realize his dream, dedication and perseverance earned him scholarships to prestigious schools, such as NYU, where he completed his undergraduate degree and. Yale University, where he completed his medical degree. Dr. Bhanot went on to complete a residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. After residency, he pursued further training in the subspecialty of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was awarded a coveted fellowship position with Dr. Bill Beeson in Carmel, Indiana.

In 2003, after completing his fellowship, he became double board-certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Bhanot relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where he has enjoyed bringing his unique skills and experience to patients. He believes that the true art of plastic surgery achieves dramatic rejuvenation for a naturally beautiful, refreshed, youthful appearance. This takes vision, perspective, judgment, creativity, thought, knowledge and execution. Dr. Bhanot’s approach is comprehensive, individualized, and measured. His blend of artistry and expertise combined with a compassionate, warm manner has earned him ranking as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for twelve consecutive years.

Dr. Bhanot relishes quality time with his wife and three children at home, as well as the relationships he has cultivated with his patients in the intimate atmosphere he has built in his facial plastic surgery practice.

Kelly, PA-C, has been the Office Manager at Bhanot Facial Plastic Surgery since 2016. She has been a certified Physician’s Assistant for 26 years and has worked in many medical and surgical specialties. While Kelly does not function in a clinical capacity at Bhanot Facial Plastic Surgery, her clinical background, extensive experience, and education in Healthcare Administration, as well as her natural ease with patients and staff, is an asset to the administration of our practice. When she isn't working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Carrie, RN, is our lead nurse at Bhanot Facial Plastic Surgery and has been with our practice since 2016. She received her RN degree from the State College of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in health education from the University of Florida. Carrie’s extensive experience in nursing and background of 15 years in dermatology and skin surgery has enhanced our patient care within the office. She is always smiling; the sound of her laughter is what makes our office feel like home. Carrie is originally from New Jersey, yet has lived most of her life in Florida. When not working, Carrie enjoys spending time with family, paddle boarding, and cheering for the Florida Gators.

Kim has been our front office guru since 2017. She handles a multitude of tasks that keep our front office running smoothly. Her extensive experience in front office and office management combined with her warm, friendly demeanor have made her an asset to Bhanot Facial Plastic Surgery. Kim has 10 years of administrative experience in the dental setting and 18 years in plastic surgery. She is the face of our practice, and her smile will be the first you receive upon entering. Kim is a native of Michigan who spent her adult life in Virginia, where she married and raised three children. Kim relocated to Florida in 2017 to enjoy a slower pace and beautiful surroundings. She enjoys time with her family, the outdoors, and exploring the local festivities when not working.

Mario is an Assistant at Bhanot Facial Plastic Surgery Center and has been with the practice since 2020.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. Mario brings with him extensive knowledge in medicine with 27 years of experience in ENT.  He is originally from Chicago, IL, but moved to Sarasota at an early age.  When not working, Mario enjoys his family and exercises frequently.
